Timeless Summer Wedding at William Paca House — Alex & Christian in Annapolis, Maryland

How come I was born and raised in Annapolis and never knew about the William Paca House & Garden?? It’s such a gorgeous spot for a small to medium size wedding. Alex & Christian hosted about 120 guests and it felt like the perfect amount.

The whole event was held outside, with the ceremony being down at the Summer House and the reception up at the main house under a couple of tents. And the gardens! They were so pretty and offered a good amount of shade during the high sun hours.

The bride and groom chose to meet me at the venue after they were all ready to go, so we immediately went into their first look and private vows, which were so intimate and sweet! The love that they share was so eminent during this time.

Before the guests arrived, I got a mix of posed and candid shots of both Christian with his groomsmen and Alex with her bridespeople. It was fun seeing their personalities come through during these group shots!

The ceremony was of course, dreamy as heck. I couldn’t believe my eyes when Alex walked down those stairs with her dad - I mean, just look at her 🥹

Immediately following the ceremony, we got these special moments with parents and grandparents. How precious are they!

Their wedding party was iconic to say the least. The parasols were so fun to play around with and of course we had to get the classic champagne pop!

At last, the bride and groom were all mine! Hehe. With the sun behind the mansion at this point, we had nice even light for their portraits, and were able to get a nice mix of shots around the gardens!

For their table settings, they chose this gorgeous coastal design from Kim Hovell’s collection, which paired perfectly with their blue and white colors. Also Alex and her mom ordered the florals from Global Rose and assembled the arrangements themselves!

9 times out of 10 I will get emotional during the toasts on your wedding day, even if we just met that day. I had a little bit of history with Alex & Christian, so Alex wasn’t the only one needing tissues, especially when her little sister went up! 😭 It’s always so endearing to hear about the bride and groom from their closest friends and family.

After the special dances, we kicked off the night with a giant group photo! This is my favorite way to start the night because it gets everyone on the dance floor at once - and if you time it right with the DJ, they’ll start the music right away and whoops! We’re all here anyways, might as well dance 😄

And dance they did!! One of the most fun dance floors I’ve been to! Everyone, including the parents, was killing it out there

To end the night, Alex and Christian made their grand exit down the steps at the front of the mansion. It was the perfect end to the perfect night! Had to grab a little selfie with the newlyweds, but let’s just say I’m not as good at taking selfies as I am with portraits 😂

It was such an honor shooting Alex & Christian’s wedding!! If you want photos like this, hit me up!!

Here’s a list of all the vendors that they had:

(BTW, you don’t see a planner on the list because the bride and her mom handled everything themselves!)
